A debate on whether boxing should be banned or not

Today we had a debate on "Should boxing be banned" in our class...

when i watch the boxing game ,i feel cruel...
when i heard that game is untrue, i feel i am silly...

I think in terms of developing confidence and self-defense, boxing is a very practical skill to learn. I must stress though, it needs to be in a controlled setting.

If you watch Olympic boxing, the fighters wear a lot of protection and rarely get hurt. The focus of amateur boxing is on technique and skill, not like the professional boxing we see on TV where they hit each other until one can't stand up.

Any martial art can be dangerous if not controlled.

I remember when I was younger, I would play fight with my brother. We never hurt each other and it helped us learn to defend ourselves.

I don't like the debate in class that day because my fellow debaters were rude and didn't come to the point, looking like those terrible women in a noisy fair... I hope someone can have a formal debate...
